Before you book

How much does a website cost?

Our websites start at £399 for a three-page Starter site, £699 for a seven-page Business site and £1,299 for a twelve-page Premium site. Every price includes a bespoke design, 12 months of hosting and 3 months of search visibility work. Online shops, bookings and other custom work are quoted separately.

What is included in the hosting?

UK-managed WordPress hosting with an SSL certificate, daily backups kept by the host, uptime monitoring and the security updates the hosting platform applies. Content changes, plugin troubleshooting and design work are not hosting; they belong to a care plan or pay-as-you-go work.

Why is the first year of hosting included?

Because a new website should not come with a surprise second invoice. The first 12 months are built into the package price so you can launch and settle in without thinking about hosting.

What happens after the first year?

Hosting renews at £99 a year. We remind you well before it is due. If you would rather host elsewhere, we hand over a full copy of your site at no charge.

What is the 3 months of search visibility work?

Every new website includes three months of our Starter Search plan from launch: two pieces of content a month (a post, a Business Profile post, a set of FAQ answers, a project page or a service page, whichever suits your business) drafted for your approval, a weekly Search Console check with fixes for anything Google flags, and a monthly report. There is no obligation to continue afterwards. If you want to carry on, plans are rolling monthly with no contract, and the Business and Growth plans move to one piece a week.

Who writes the content?

We research and draft it using our own tools and systems, check every piece, and you approve each one before it goes live. Nothing is published without your say-so, and everything is written to answer a real question your customers ask.

What if my business doesn't suit a blog?

Many don’t, and that’s fine. A locksmith, a café or a solicitor is better served by Google Business Profile posts, answered customer questions on the right pages, project or case-study pages, and a proper page for each service and area. Our plans count pieces of content, not blog posts, so we agree a mix that suits your business at the start and change it whenever you like.

Can I edit my own website?

Yes. Your site is built on WordPress with the standard block editor, and we show you how to change text, images and pages at handover. Prices, packages and contact details on this site are edited the same way.

Is my website mobile friendly?

Every site is designed for phones first and checked on phone, tablet and desktop sizes before launch.

Do I own my website?

Yes. On final payment the design and content we produced for you are yours, your domain is registered in your name, and WordPress itself is open-source software. Our written terms set this out.

Can I move my website elsewhere?

Yes, at any time. We provide a full export of files and database on request at no charge, and there is no exit fee.

What is SEO?

Search engine optimisation: making your site easy for Google and Bing to understand and worth showing to people searching for what you do. We build sensible foundations into every site; ongoing content and monitoring is an optional rolling plan.

What are GEO and AEO?

Generative engine optimisation (GEO) means keeping your business facts clear and consistent so AI-powered search can read and summarise them accurately. Answer engine optimisation (AEO) means answering the questions customers actually ask, in plain language on your site. Neither guarantees a mention in an AI answer.

How long does it take to build a website?

It depends on the package and how quickly content arrives. We agree a timescale with you in writing at the start of every project rather than promising a number here.

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

We read it, usually reply within two working days with any questions, and send a written quote. There is no obligation and nothing is charged until you accept the quote and pay the deposit.

What is included in a care plan?

Daily off-site backups on every option, including pay as you go. Plans add updates, monitoring and, on Business and Premium, a stated amount of content-change time each month. Plans are rolling monthly with no annual contract. If you would rather not have a plan, pay-as-you-go work is available at £45 an hour.

Do you provide business email?

We set up professional email at your own domain through Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. The mailbox subscription is billed by the provider; we quote the set-up separately.
